Sunday night at The Danforth Music Hall, Jon Bryant brought together the East and the West Coast of Canada, filling the hall with some of his maritime roots. That vibe is carried out within the coastlines of Australia. Opening for John Butler Trio, playing the keys, guitar, and singing, Jon gave us a taste of that same Indie Folk Rock soundscape; we were about to witness.

Working hard for that Artist /Parton Connection, this trio brought me some home away from home. I had lived just a few kilometres away, in a suburb of Fremantle, WA, Australia, about 12 years ago. I was missing WA, but felt not far from there, as John Butler Trio’s newest album, is tilted HOME.
